Our purpose

PINNOS 2025 aims to identify the actors and innovative solutions of the Health Innovation Ecosystem in Colombia, to contribute to the development of the productive sector and the improvement of the health system. The report includes a mapping of Colombia’s Health Innovation Ecosystem and the solutions developed by the actors who participated in the call. This allows us to visualize our innovation landscape, its operation, and the possible improvements and opportunities to face the challenges of the health sector.

Goals

PINNOS seeks to provide an annual report on the Panorama of the Health Innovation Ecosystem in Colombia, to do so:

  • Map the state of health innovation in Colombia and identify the outstanding innovations carried out by the different actors in the ecosystem.
  • Identify a greater number of actors and characterize innovative solutions at the national, regional and local level, reaching the deepest and most remote places in the country and those where initiatives are developed that manage to have a positive impact on maturity of the Health Innovation Ecosystem.
  • Understand the maturity level of the ecosystem, the solutions and the actors.
  • Exhaustively characterize the purpose of said innovations.
  • Improve the data collection process for the analysis and conclusions of the PINNOS 2025 report.
  • Generate an information search engine that allows the agents of the Health Innovation Ecosystem to consult the initiatives underway within the health categories that may be of interest to achieve articulation with other actors and promote high-impact projects for the sector and society.
  • Enable PINNOS as a tool for the design of Mission-oriented Health Innovation Policies and Strategies (PISOMs).
  • Make visible innovative initiatives to contribute to the health of Colombians, to the productive development of the health sector – and its subsectors – and to the transformation of the country’s health system, through innovation processes based on research and development, in social innovation and technology-based innovation

How do we achieve it?

  • Delivering to the community an annual report on the state of the national health innovation ecosystem.
  • Making actors visible according to roles, contributions and categories in the health innovation ecosystem.
    Holding an event to recognize contributions to health innovation in the country.
  • The data persists in a relational database on the web, which guarantees consistency of information.
  • Possibility of connection with different information systems through APIS.

All intellectual property rights, image rights and information rights in general associated with health innovations that are presented to PINNOS are the complete responsibility of the respective participants.

Any type of claim resulting from the actual or potential impact of third-party rights associated with health innovations published through PINNOS will be the complete responsibility of the participants.

The information on health innovations presented to PINNOS will be disseminated through digital media, so participants, by presenting the innovations to PINNOS, authorize their massive dissemination through different channels and media.

The innovations presented must not contain confidential information, since the information will be disclosed and made available to the general public, so there will be no liability for the disclosure of information associated with the health innovations presented to PINNOS.

The publication of innovative health solutions by PINNOS does not generate any type of support relationship, sponsorship, or technical responsibility on the part of PINNOS or the sponsoring institutions of PINNOS, it will only have effects of recognition as outstanding innovations with an impact on the health sector.
